The building was constructed in the Eclectic Gothic style. It remained the property of the Great Guild Brotherhood until the mid-1930s, after which it became the property of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the second half of the 1930s. Until 2021, the building housed the Riga City Construction Board. It is listed as a State Architectural Monument.
